MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – The Blessing Birds is a nonprofit organization that raises money to help the community.
On Nov. 3, they held a fundraiser to help students in Marietta City Schools afford to buy items at the Santa’s Workshop event in December. They held a 50/50 raffle which featured over 30 different items.
They provided soup, desserts, and concessions for those in attendance. While the money raised primarily came from the 50/50 raffle, donations were also accepted.
Sarah Miller, President of the Blessing Birds, said it’s important to give the students a chance to participate in events like Santa’s Workshop.
The Blessing Birds will be at Santa’s Workshop to help students when they are shopping.
