BOISE, Idaho — Following a big win against San Diego State, 56-24, the Boise State Broncos have climbed to #12 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The team’s highest ranking since 2011, when the Broncos were at #8 in the final poll that season.
“The Broncos boast one of the top FBS offenses, ranking third in scoring (45.8 ppg) and fourth in rushing offense (267.9 ypg), total offense (509.1 ypg) and fourth down conversion percentage (84.6),” a Bronco news release stated. “They also rank second in fewest turnovers, committing only four in eight games. Defensively, Boise State leads the nation in sacks per game, averaging 4.75. The unit averages 8.4 tackles for loss per game, ranking fourth in the nation.”
The team is also up several spots from last week in the US LBM Coaches Poll, coming in at 14. …
