IKEA Opens New Store in Charlotte This Week [Video]

A new IKEA store is set to open in Charlotte this week, marking the city’s second location. IKEA South Charlotte will debut on Wednesday, October 16, at 10 a.m. in the Promenade on Providence Road.

This store features a plan and order point with pick-up, differing from traditional large-format locations. Customers can consult with employees to design and order home furnishing solutions for spaces like kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The store will handle delivery arrangements, transporting items directly to customers’ homes or designated delivery points, according to WBTV.

The first IKEA in Charlotte opened in 2009.
