RYAN Tubridy’s fans have called him a “true legend” as he made a kind gesture for Irish elders.
The former RTE star met up with Irish pensioners who live in London to celebrate 30 years of the Southwark Irish Pensioners Project yesterday.
The project provides support services every day, to hundreds of older Irish people living in the community as well as drop-in day servicesand an advice service, since 1994.
Ryan took to Instagram after the event and shared a video of himself dancing with the pensioners to Steve Earle’s hit song The Galway Girl.
The room was “full of men and women who left Ireland in the 1950s and 60s for multiple reasons and made their home in Southwark, south east of London”.
