The change will take effect around Nov. 6, officials said.
PLAINFIELD, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation says the speed limit for a busy section of U.S. 40 in Hendricks County will be reduced in November.
INDOT said in a press release the affected section is in Plainfield, from just east of Ventura Boulevard to just west of Vandalia Boulevard/Mecklenburg Drive.
The new speed limit will be 45 mph, a reduction from the current 55 mph.
The change is scheduled to take effect on or after Nov. 6. INDOT cited enhanced safety for the adjustment.
