LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Lynn Family Stadium is gearing up for a big week full of soccer events.
To start off the big week, the U.S. Women’s National Team is playing Argentina on Wednesday. Officials said this game, in particular, is a big opportunity to draw new fans to the stadium.
Local player Emma Sears made her national team debut Sunday and will take part in Wednesday’s game. Sears played previously on Racing Louisville’s team.
On Saturday, Louisville City FC’s playoff run begins.
Jonathan Lintner, vice president of marketing for the club, visited WDRB Mornings on Tuesday and said this is the time of year the entire team waits on.
“This has been a very special season for us,” Lintner said. “We’re No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs and we have lost one game of 17 at home, so we like to call it our fortress.”
Tickets are still available for both events and can be purchased here.
