Second park and ride lot closes, forcing people to move out [Video]

A second Milwaukee-area park and ride lot is now closed.The state shut down the College Avenue park and ride lot Monday, forcing dozens of people living there to move to move out. Milwaukee County staff put up a no-parking sign to make sure no one goes beyond the fence that was recently put up. “It’s not well thought out as far as an end game,” said one veteran without housing. The veteran chose not to identify himself with WISN 12 News but said he’s been staying at the College Avenue park and ride lot since the summer. He and others are frustrated, saying they’re having trouble finding suitable housing. “I think one of the illusions I think a lot of the public have is there’s all these resources that are out there, but they are not as effective as people would think,” the veteran said.
