(VIDEO): Dozens Feared Trapped in Abuja Building Collapse

An estimated 40 individuals are reportedly trapped beneath the rubble of a collapsed multi-story building in Sabon Lugbe, a suburb of Abuja.

Reports indicate that the structure gave way around 5 p.m. on Saturday, with many occupants still inside.

Videos circulating on social media, particularly on X, show residents working frantically to rescue those trapped.

As of this report, it remains unclear if emergency responders have arrived to aid in the rescue operations. Attempts to contact Nkechi Isa, Head of Public Affairs for the FCT Emergency Management Department, were unsuccessful.
