WASHINGTON DC (WLAX/WEUX) – Both candidates are planning weekend stops in the Wolverine state. Vice President Harris and Former President Trump are both trying to break through in Michigan this weekend. President Trump will make stops in Michigan on Friday and Saturday. Michelle Obama will join Harris on Saturday for their first campaign event together.
The Michigan race is seemingly tied right now, with both candidates polling at just under 48%, according to a polling average by The Hill Decision Desk HQ Election Center. In 2016, the traditionally blue state flipped red, when Trump beat Clinton in a tight race. In 2020, Biden flipped it back.
All Michigan communities must start in-person early voting on Saturday, but voting here has already begun in some places, including by mail. More than a million absentee ballots have already been cast.
