Basketball showcase, block party to celebrate release of JA2 in Memphis [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Nike is celebrating the release of Ja Morant’s new shoes with community events across Memphis this weekend.

“The Get Up,” a Memphis basketball showcase and community block party, will be a two-day event to celebrate the release of JA2.

Saturday, the Footlocker JA2 pop-up truck will be driving around town to community hotspots.

“Those who follow the truck will be able to win exclusive merch by testing their skills and be the first to get their hands on the latest JA2 colorways,” Nike says of the event.

Then on Sunday, there will bee a block party showcase some of the best hoopers in the city. This event will take place at Snowden School at 1870 N Parkway.
