If you are one of many sports fans planning to attend any major events happening in L.A. on Friday, you better prepare for gridlock.
Drivers will be battling traffic for Game One of the World Series at Dodger Stadium, USC vs. Rutgers at the Coliseum, and the Lakers vs. the Phoenix Suns at Crypto.com Arena, all set between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Friday.
LAPD Deputy Chief Don Graham tells KNX News’ Pete Demetriou there is a joint-department effort to get 125,000 plus fans in and out of the area.
“We will have a very obvious presence in Downtown L.A. both between the LAPD and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation,” said Deputy Chief Graham. “There will be an incident management team responsible for all of Downtown L.A. during that time, and they will be implementing a traffic plan built between LAPD and L.A. DOT.”
