MADISON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Madison Early Learning Center, in partnership with EmBe Education, celebrated a groundbreaking Tuesday afternoon for a new child care center in Madison.
The $4.5 million building will help support and improve the quality of life for families in the area.
The Center will include seven classrooms and will be able to serve up to 140 kids. It will be operated by EmBe.
“Within the City of Madison, we rely solely on our in-home providers and they have done a phenomenal job in our community, but they can not withstand the growth. We need a center, we need a place where kids have some more numbers, longer hours, we need more opportunities for our families,” said Lake Area Improvement Corporation Executive Director Brooke Rollag.
The facility is set to open its doors sometime in 2025.
