WASHINGTON — Kamala Harris is planning an event in the District just one week before the election, WUSA9 has learned.

According to a permit filed Friday with the National Park Service, the event was planned to be on the National Mall on Tuesday, with as many as 7,500 attendees expected. The permit also plans for 250 staff, organizers and volunteers. 

The venue was later changed to Ellipse. A source tells WUSA9 that the venue change was approved but the permit has not yet been issued. 

No other details have been released.
