23 states come together to fight attempted changes to Title IX [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Female athletes have come together with the attorneys general for 23 states to back the State of Kansas in a suit that demands attempts to redefine Title IX stop.

The Alliance Defending Freedom has announced that women’s advocates, female athletes, scholars and 23 states have filed friend-of-the-court briefs against an attempt to redefine the word sex as gender identity in Title IX.

In the case State of Kansas v. U.S. Department of Education, attorneys who represent students and female athletes affected by the rule joined Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach as well as AGs from Alaska, Utah and Wyoming to file the suit in May.
