MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -The Ford Motor Company’s philanthropic fund broke ground today on a new community center in Stanton, Tennessee.
The community center is not far from Blue Oval City, where Ford’s new EV Truck plant is under construction in Haywood County.
Ford Philanthropy operates six other community centers around the world—two in Detroit, and one each in Thailand, Romania, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Each community center is specifically tailored to the needs of the communities near Ford plants and is built to provide long-term support.
Ford says trucks should start rolling off the Tennessee Blue Oval City production line in 2027.
