God of War series gets a shake up at Amazon [Video]

• The Amazon God of War series has lost its showrunner and two executive producers.
• Amazon will now be shopping for a new showrunner as well as a new writer’s room.
• The show will still reportedly follow the beats laid out in the 2018 reboot of the franchise created by Santa Monica Studios.

Amazon’s adaptation of the God of War games into a series isn’t going too well but it’s also not lost at sea.

As reported by Variety the series showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins as well as executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus have left the project. Their departure comes as Amazon reportedly wants to take a different creative direction with the show. As such, the company is looking to hire a new showrunner and a raft of new writers.
