Later this month, people in Juneau will be able to comment on plans for commercial recreation on lands and trails managed by the city’s Parks and Rec Department. An open house on the proposals is scheduled for October 30 at the Dimond Park Field House. People can look over the plans and fill out a comment card. More on the Open House

Anchorage Parks and Recreation is preparing for this year’s Haunted and Enchanted Trails event at Goose Lake Park on Friday. It’s no ordinary walk in the park. Visitors are promised a thrill and fright at night, as they creep along the route while creatures of the forest come alive on the park’s Haunted Trail. More on the Trails Event
