An Evening of Gratitude event supporting those who helped during the Davis Fire [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – About a month ago the Davis Fire impacted communities in the area.

Now, to help support first responders, charitable organizations and those who lost their homes, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue is hosting an event to thank them. It’s called An Evening of Gratitude, and it’s happening Tuesday night at Greater Nevada Field.

Organizations such as United Way, Nevada Peer Support, plus the American Red Cross supported first responders and community members during and after the fire.

Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue Chief Charles Moore says this event is more than just a meet and greet. “We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our community but getting our charitable support organizations back up to speed and supporting those who suffered loss is a job needing a bit more effort.” The event, An Evening of Gratitude, intends to help replenish funds for those local charities …
