GREENFIELD, Ind. — An inmate at the Hancock County Jail died early Thursday morning after being found unresponsive in his cell.

According to a press release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, around 6:47 a.m. on Oct. 10, Hancock County Jail officers were serving a breakfast tray to 52-year-old Joe Willie Davis of Indianapolis when the officers found Davis unresponsive in his cell.
