MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – National Faith and Blue, a collaboration between local churches and police departments, began on October 10 in Memphis.
It will end on October 13. The Memphis Police Department has participated in Faith and Blue Weekend for at least three years.
It’s where churches and police departments from all over the county come together for solutions-focused events and conversations with the goal of making communities safer.
“We are here to let the community see that we are here to serve him and give them opportunities when we can,” said Andrienne Hill, Memphis Police Department.
According to the Faith and Blue website, they wanted to bind officers, local churches, and residents together to reinforce that they are building neighborhoods where everyone feels safe and included.
