The Perth gym where a bodybuilder spent 15 hours unconscious and unnoticed under a cold running shower is being investigated by WorkSafe, the agency has confirmed.
Giuliano Pirone, 33, had been training at the 24-hour facility in Wanneroo on August 20 when he felt unwell.
He staggered to a shower before collapsing about 7.30am.

The father of a three-year-old girl was only found when his family raised the alarm and police used the signal from the building supervisor’s mobile phone to find him.
He was placed on life support but never recovered and died two weeks later in hospital.
WorkSafe has now confirmed it is undertaking a formal investigation of the gym following Pirone’s death.
While the gym was not Pirone’s workplace, a duty of care extends to everyone there.
