Dakin Humane Society hosts Barks and Brews fundraiser [Video]

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – On Sunday, the Dakin Humane Society staged its Barks and Brews fundraising event at Fort Hill Brewery.

Guests were encouraged to bring their dogs to join in the fun.

The event featured music, dog Halloween costume contests, dog-themed activities, and of course, Fort Hill’s brews.

Vendors were on hand to offer dog accessories and treats, grooming, and more.

We caught up with Meg Talbert, the executive director of Dakin Humane Society, who told us the big turnout was great to see.

“Our community and the residents that live here in the Pioneer Valley are so supportive of Dakin, they’re so generous, they want to take care of the pets and the people combined and they really understand the importance of what Dakin does,” she said.
