Jake Tapper Shows Off AI Deepfake Of Himself On CNN [Video]

CNN anchor Jake Tapper opened his segment on the potential dangers of artificial intelligence by playing a deepfake opening monologue of himself.

Tapper noted throughout the segment that artificial intelligence may pose a threat in the upcoming election, citing an incident in the Indian gubernatorial election where Sen. Mike Braun’s (R-IN) campaign posted a digitally altered photo of his Democratic opponent, Jennifer McCormick, standing at a rally against gas stoves.

“But seriously, welcome to the wild west of TV ads where technology allows falsehoods to be depicted as facts, blazing unethical trails around the world,” Tapper told his audience.

During the deepfake Tapper opening segment, the fake anchor noted in the monologue that comedian Danny Polishchuk created the program after only using A.I. for two weeks.
