Helene death toll in North Carolina rises | Thursday latest [Video]

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Between numbers from the state and Buncombe County, there have been 110 recorded deaths in North Carolina from Helene. 

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said in a Thursday afternoon press conference that there have been 72 deaths in the county so far.

Here’s a look at the lives lost in each county. 

It’s been nearly a week since Helene hit the Southeast as a Category 4 hurricane and left western North Carolina communities in devastation.
