Coles has responded to a viral video of an employee marking up the price of dozens of in-store products.
The worker filmed himself updating paper tickets on multiple products, which appear to show a jump in price.
The clips were uploaded to TikTok with the caption: “I miss hanging hundreds of price increases a week (not).”
In one video, the worker shows a 65 pack of Finish Quantum Ultimate Pro Dishwashing Tablets discounted to $33 from its 2022 price of $48.
He then switches the ticket with a price tag advertising the product for $64 – a mark up of almost 100 per cent.
In another clip, the employee updates a tag advertising Tasmanian Heritage Camembert for $6 to a new price of $7.50.
