Aiken County holds press conference on Hurricane Helene recovery [Video]

AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – Local and state officials in Aiken County held a press conference today sharing recovery details after Hurricane Helene.

City of Aiken Mayor Teddy Milner along with representatives from Aiken County Council, Aiken Regional Hospital, and the South Carolina General Assembly gathered today to address concerns and speak to residents of Aiken County about their efforts.

“As we begin the process of recovery which we will, knowing that our city is mobilizing every resource and partnering with county and state agencies to assist you,” said Milner. “Please lean on us, lean on the city, call us, ask questions, we are here to answer. I don’t mind at all. I rather enjoy giving out information, that is the truth instead of rumors.”

Mayor Milner also stressed the importance of being kind and working together to recover from the storm.
