MUVA is a programme that helps young women in urban areas of Mozambique to be economically empowered, creating opportunities for them to gain the education and skills (including soft skills) need to get and retain secure, well-paid jobs, and to have better access to markets.
One of these projects is MUVA Assistentes, which creates job opportunities for young women while delivering public services. Young women, once they have completed secondary school, are placed in overcrowded classrooms in public primary schools as class assistants, to help teachers correcting homework and delivering modules.
The video above explains more about this exciting project, implemented in Maputo. You can also found out more about MUVA on our project page or on the MUVA website.
