Sioux Falls airport opens new, multi-level parking ramp [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls Regional Airport’s new parking garage is now open.

The new addition will add nearly 1,000 parking spaces.

Officials held a groundbreaking for the parking garage on Monday.

“We certainly invested in aesthetics both outside and inside. We added a skyway, which we needed to do, added escalators and elevators to make that process of getting to and from the skyway as easy as possible. We’re really focused on improving the customer experience flying out of Sioux Falls,” said Sioux Falls Regional Airport Executive Director Dan Letellier.

The new skyway and addition to the terminal building are expected to be finished by mid-October.

Until this portion is completed, officials say travelers using the ramp will exit on the ground level and walk across the street to the ticketing area and baggage claim.
