WVU Medicine hosts their Childrens Day celebration [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center and WVU Medicine Children’s have created a partnership that brought new pediatric care to the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Through the partnership, locals can get access to pediatric care that used to be exclusively available in Morgantown.

Sean Smith, CEO of WVU Medicine at Camden Clark Medical Center, said the Children’s Day was a way for the community to celebrate the new opportunities coming to the valley.

Camden Clark recently opened it’s first Pediatric Rapid Care Clinic at its new Southgate Medical Complex. The clinic offers pediatric care seven days a week. Children’s Day at Discovery World on Market taught kids about various medical ailments and how to care and prevent them.

Amy Bush, Administrative Officer at WVU Medicine Children’s, said the event allowed parents to learn about new medical opportunities at Camden Clark.

Kids played and socialized to their hearts content.
