Avista says from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. a resource center will be available at Mead High School for those affected.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Avista Utilities announced on Facebook that a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) was implemented in the Indian Trail area of Spokane County due to high fire risk and strong winds on Sunday afternoon.

Avista did not give an official estimated time for customers to expect power to return.

Avista says a community resource center will be set up between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Mead High School multi-purpose room. They will provide information, charging stations, snacks and water to those affected by the power shut-off.

Avista says that once the weather advisories have passed, crews will patrol the line to ensure safety before returning power to the area.
