BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Convoy of Hope partnered with local businesses, churches, government agencies and nonprofits to provide free groceries, back to school supplies, haircuts, health services and more to the Bartlesville community.
Convoy of Hope is a non-profit that partners with local organizations to help serve communities nation wide.
Micah Smith, Operations Director at City Church and the coordinator for this event, said it’s “just really a kickstart of hope in the community of Bartlesville and surrounding areas to love on our community and our neighbors that might need a little more encouragement or hope to get through the day.”
The free event was for all ages, providing services to everyone in the community who might need them.
“It’s covering from the kids, the moms, the dads, the grandparents,” said Dallas Hindman, one of the operators of the shoe tent. “It’s what we were saying, it’s a convoy of hope. …
