FINDLAY, Ohio — An 11-year-old girl was arrested and charged with a felony Thursday after allegedly making a hoax call about a shooting at a Findlay middle school.
According to a press release from the Findlay Police Department, officers responded to Donnell Middle School around 11 a.m. after receiving a 911 call. In the call, the caller, whom police described as a child, said they were at the middle school and claimed someone had a gun. The caller then hung up.
Police responded to the school, where they were able to determine there were no active emergencies occurring. Donnell Middle School administration put the school on lockdown while the situation was investigated.
