DONALSONVILLE, Georgia. (WTVY) – Hours before Hurricane Helene’s projected landfall, the glistening wet from rain streets in Donalsonville, Georgia, were mostly empty.
While most businesses on Second Street were empty from business owners waiting out the storm at home, not all of them were boarded up.
Some, however, did have sandbags to protect brick and mortar storefronts from potential damage.
