The moment a visually impaired girl realizes what’s for dessert has melted hearts and gone viral on the internet.

In the TikTok clip, Emma is sitting in her highchair and handed an ice cream cone by her mom Amanda Burritt. Emma, who has rare disease KIF1A associated neurological disorder (KAND), senses and sees what’s in front of her and her face lights up in pure joy when she gets her ice cream.

Burritt, from Calgary, Canada, told Newsweek that Emma’s disorder has caused her to be blind “among many other things.”

“Seeing her be able to enjoy the small things in life, like ice cream, despite everything working against her makes me so happy as a mom,” the 38-year-old said.
