Rapper, actor Eve to begin residency at NYU Steinhardt [Video]

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Grammy Award-winning rapper and actress Eve is joining NYU as a 2024-2025 Scholar-in-Residence at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, with the year-long residency kicking off at a welcome event on Saturday.

Eve, who released her debut album in 1999 and followed it up with multiple chart-topping projects and a burgeoning TV and film career, will use the residency to discuss her experience as a woman in hip-hop with the NYU community, according to NYU.

The program will include meetings, classroom visits and conversations with students and faculty about her personal career and the evolving music industry at large.

“She will share the expertise she’s gained as an award-winning artist in music, film, and television, as well as a philanthropist working with young people in the arts,” said Jack H. Knott, the Gale and Ira Drukier Dean of NYU Steinhardt.
