Florida sheriffs rant on school threats resonates with law enforcement | News [Video]

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) – A Florida sheriff’s video calling out parents has gone viral online.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood arrested an 11-year-old for allegedly threatening to carry out a school shooting.

In a video he posted to social media, he promised to go after parents if the school threats continue. 

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott shared that he knows how the sheriff in Florida feels, adding that enough is enough for the threats. 

Local law enforcement agencies had their hands full responding to school threats last week. 

Threats were reported in Gordo, Amory, New Albany, Thrasher, and Itawamba County.
