DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)—Since 2015, Time Youth, an organization that aims to empower youth, has been outgrowing its current space.
Now they will have a new place to call home at the beginning of next year as they have purchased a $200,000 building with the community’s help for a new youth center.
“Now we will be able to expand the programs that we already run but also provide a safe space for teenagers and not just elementary and middle school students,” Founder Nate Patterson said.
The new 7,500 warehouse that will be the teen center has to be fully renovated from the top down. Renovations started on the roof and work will begin in the inside next week.
Donations from the community and Wiregrass foundations will help pay for it. Founder Nate Patterson says this opportunity will make an impact for generations.
