BRIGHTON (WWJ) — Leadership at church in Livingston County say they’re cooperating with a sheriff’s department investigation after one of their pastors was allegedly caught filming people in the bathroom.
The suspect was a worship pastor at 2|42 Community Church in Brighton.
He was arrested after allegedly confessing to placing hidden camera inside a unisex bathroom on the church campus, on Grand River Ave.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this situation, as the protection, safety and privacy of every person who enters our church is our priority,” said Eric Rauch, the executive pastor of ministry operations, said in a statement to WXYZ-TV. “2|42 Community Church is cooperating fully with the Sheriff’s Office investigation and is taking proactive steps, including engaging with a third party investigator, to ensure the safety of all our facilities.”
