DENVER (KDVR) — Denver had its second hottest summer on record and the Mile High City had some of the most 90-degree days in history this year. However, according to Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels, those hot days are likely over for the year.

So far, Denver has recorded 62 days over 90 degrees, with six days over 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Heading into September, those hot temperatures stuck around for a few weeks.

In mid-September, temperatures reached the 90s, however, that’s likely the hottest it will be for the rest of the year, according to Michels.
