OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — Over 20 community partners participated in this year’s event, with over 150 healthcare professionals and over 60 community members attending.
Katie Case, the emergency management specialist for Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, says, “We just really have a whole spectrum to really teach people and give people an idea of how to be prepared for disasters. “
The Owensboro Health event brought several resources all to one place.
Community members learn information on CPR training, gun safety, wilderness survival, and even how to protect items in your home you don’t always think about.
