Lee’s Summit police have introduced a new program called Power Engage to enhance communication and feedback for nonemergency calls.The program is designed for nonemergency calls such as thefts, property crimes, or disturbances.It provides automatic updates to residents at each point in the process.”Positive feedback will go to the officer themselves and into our staff,” Sgt. Chris Depue of the Lee’s Summit Police Department said. “Any negative feedback comes to our staff for them to look into and see if there are ways we can improve.”Last year, Lee’s Summit police made nearly 10,000 police reports and conducted 3,400 criminal investigations.The program offers management high-level data on officers and workflows to improve overall service.”It will allow us to identify trends, make changes, and stay relevant to our citizens,” Depue said.Residents cannot respond to the text messages but can click on links to review the service they received.The department believes this will significantly …
