DFL volunteers phone bank to gain voters | News [Video]

KIMT News Three’s Emma Esteb explains what phone banking is and how it’s meant to benefit the volunteers doing it

ROCHESTER, Minn. – In light of the first presidential debate, team Harris-Walz and the DFL hosted a phone banking event in the Med City on Sept. 10.

Volunteers and supporters made calls to encourage people to vote for Harris and Walz. There was a surprise guest at the event, Governor Walz’s wife, Gwen Walz emphasized the importance of these campaign efforts.

Each caller has a list of people that they will contact and ask if they are planning on voting. The bank callers are hoping to encourage and push people to head to the polls and vote democratic in the fall.

Gwen Walz says, “it’s worth a conversation because that much is at stake.”
