COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus is a city many people love and want to feel safe and comfortable in. That’s why City Councilmember Emmanuel Remy said events like Public Safety Week are so important.
Public Safety Week is happening through Sept. 14 and it’s something Columbus City Council started in 2023. This year’s theme is “We Got Us.”
“This week is about collaboration,” Remy said. “We got us and talking about how we can collectively work together to make Columbus a safer place to live, work and raise a family.”
There are multiple events happening throughout the week, including a free community dinner and discussion, a litter sweep in Linden and a gun buyback.
