Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty announced Steven Bailey is also charged with two counts of third-degree murder.

According to a press release from County Attorney Mary Moriarty’s Office Monday, Steven Bailey now faces two counts of third-degree murder in addition to two counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Moriarty’s office said the new charges come after prosecutors reviewed additional evidence in the deaths of Kristina Folkerts and Gabe Harvey.
In the days following the crash and Bailey’s initial charges, the attorney’s office said it reviewed surveillance video from Park Tavern that supports third-degree murder. The attorney’s office defines those charges as a person who caused death “by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life.”
