ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is hosting a Women in Blue event to recruit more officers for the department with a primary focus on women.

The event will be Saturday, September 7, at the APD Academy from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Female officers will on site to give guidance and inspiration to anyone interested in pursuing a law enforcement career. Participants are invited to have a conversation with an officer and join them for physical fitness activities. Anyone, especially women, interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement is encouraged to attend the Women in Blue event.
