Some big news now from 2020 Olympic gold medalist Lydia Jacoby.

The star swimmer from Seward posted on Instagram that she has decided to forgo her collegiate eligibility to pursue professional swimming.

While she won’t be swimming for the Longhorns at the University of Texas anymore, Jacoby says she will continue to work on her degree in advertising.

This decision comes after Jacoby, a gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, just missed out on qualifying for this year’s games in Paris.
