Herkimer College Men’s Soccer Cruises to Season-Opening 14-0 Victory over North Country CC; While the Lady Generals Play to a 2-2 Draw with the Saints | Sports [Video]

HERKIMER, N.Y. — The Herkimer Generals Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams were in double-header action at Wehrum Stadium this afternoon against North Country Community College.

In the opening contest, the Lady Generals played the Saints to a 2-2 draw. The team now holds a record of 1-1-1 on the young season. Kadence York and Sydney Schell each scored for the Generals.

In the second game, the men’s squad made light work of the NCCC Saints. They jumped out to a 9-0 advantage by halftime, and finished the game with a 14-0 shutout win.

Rood Apolon, Rowan Slater, and George Dickinson each scored two goals for the Generals in the victory. 

Herkimer travels to Clinton County Community College on Wednesday evening for a 5 p.m. contest.
