FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Joseph Gaudett, Jr. has been hired as the new director of the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center, or FCRD, the town of Fairfield announced this week.
Gaudett, Jr. began in the role on Wednesday, Aug. 28. He has over 40 years of experience in law enforcement and telecommunications/technology consulting.
The town says Gaudett, Jr. brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to a position that is critical to the public safety of residents.
Most recently, Gaudett, Jr. served as director of the City of Stamford’s Emergency Communicatoins Center, which is considered one of the busiest Public Safety Answering Points in Connecticut. During his time in Stanford, he helped improve call answering standards, put in place cutting-edge technologies and strengthened interoperability with regional and state partners, according to the town of Fairfield.
