NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist.
The crash happened Thursday night around 11:30 p.m. in Washington Township in Stark County.

According to a press release from the OSHP, 19-year-old Jed Unruh of Minerva was driving southbound on State Route 183 when he failed to negotiate a curve.
OSHP reported that Unruh went off the side of the road, lost control of the motorcycle and hit a tree.

Unruh was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the OSHP.
Troopers said he was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor.
