Women lock crying baby in airplane bathroom [Video]

A pair of women in China have caused outrage after locking a baby in an airplane bathroom after it would not stop crying on their flight.

The women, who appear to have no relation to the child, took the toddler from her grandparents and locked her in the bathroom and posted a video of the ordeal to social media.

Per CNN, one of the women can be heard in the video saying, “We won’t let you out unless you stop crying,” as she held the child while sitting on the plane’s toilet.

After the child stopped crying, the woman taking the video can be heard saying, “If you make any noise again, we’ll come back (to the bathroom).”

After the video received a ton of backlash after being posted, one of the women tried to explain they were just trying to ensure a “restful flight” for the other passengers.
